Last minute help for your DNC speech...

Good evening! My name is (name), and I am honored to be here tonight, representing the great (state/commonwealth/terriotory) of (name of state).

I am the (son/daughter) of (immigrant/working-class) parents, hard working people who (came to this country/worked all their lives) to make a better life for their children. My father, a humble (mill worker/farmer/steel worker/grain silo) taught me that there is nothing as important as (hard work/perseverance), and my mother, a (teacher/seamstress/stay at home mom) who was the first woman in our small town to (vote/chair a committee/run our dishwasher with biofeuls) taught me (that my word was my bond/to love my neighbor as myself).

You see, they believed in the American dream. And it is because of their hard work and sacrifice that I am standing here tonight, and because of them, I was able to go to a college which shall remain nameless. I entered public service to values unity freedom America. Green energy failed policies teachers firemen gas economy housing crisis! Hardworking! Small town! FARMERS! FAITH! Veterans deplorable future vision change! Historic! Women! Martin! Luther! King Jr!

Thank you!

I went to go see The 39 Steps while i was in NY. Besides the other 1.3 hours of awesomeness, there is a scene where our hero, mistaken for a criminal on the run, tries to take refuge by ducking into the back door of a theatre. Mistaken for a political candidate, he is ushered to the podium. The Lights come up, blinding him. Behind him is a banner reading "VOTE FOR McQUARCARDALE!" After the raucous applause dies down, having no idea what he's "running" for, the hero draws himself up, looks to the crowd and says:

"Change!"

Thunderous applause.

BRILLIANT.
